CAUTION: Do not consume during pregnancy or if you have menstrual cycles shorter than 28 days.
Just as turkey is to Thanksgiving and cake is to birthdays, this essential TCM herbal soup is for new mothers, whether it is your first or your fourth.
A staple across many Asian cultures, this soup has been used for generations to help mothers recover, rebuild, and restore after birth. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, these herbs are known to support blood building, replenishment, and immunity, offering deep nourishment during a time of depletion.
At FAMMá, we created an Essential Postpartum Recovery Herbal Soup Kit using thoughtfully selected herbs traditionally used for thousands of years. Simply add a whole chicken and simmer to create a rich, restorative broth when it is needed most.
Includes
Dong Quai (Lady Ginseng), Chinese Yam, Shiitake, Jujube*, Codonopsis, Goji Berries*
*denotes organic
Each herbal packet makes about 8 servings when prepared with a whole, raw chicken.
At approximately $5 to $7 per serving, including your own chicken, this is an affordable way to create a deeply nourishing meal at home. We recommend using chicken from local rancher when possible, or pasture raised organic as a second option.
