FAQ
UPDATED MAY 2026:
1. How long will it take to receive my order?
Because we recently transitioned from frozen meals to shelf-stable pantry items, orders may take 5–7 business days to process and ship.
2. How long do the Triple Moon Treats last?
Our Triple Moon Treats are baked fresh weekly and will last 4–6 weeks when stored in an airtight container. They can also be frozen, then defrosted and gently warmed in the microwave or toaster oven.
3. How long do the Power Granolas last?
Our Power Granolas are shelf stable and can last up to 1 year unopened. Once opened, store in an airtight container for best freshness.
4. Refunds & Food Quality Concerns
Due to the nature of our products being food items, we do not offer refunds or returns. However, if there is an issue with your order, food quality, or packaging upon arrival, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos so we can review and help make things right.
5. Are your products organic?
We prioritize organic and regeneratively grown ingredients whenever possible. Some ingredients may not be certified organic due to sourcing limitations, but we always focus on quality, nutrient density, and transparency.
6. Are your products gluten-free?
All of our products are made without gluten-containing ingredients. However, all products are produced in a shared kitchen facility that may process common allergens including wheat, dairy, soy, nuts, and sesame.
7. Are the congee kits sweet or savory?
Our Herbal Congee Kits come in both savory and lightly sweet varieties. Savory flavors are traditionally enjoyed with broth and protein, while our sweet blends are intentionally “not too sweet” and designed for gentle everyday nourishment.
8. Do I need to add my own protein or broth?
No but it is highly recommended. Our congee kits are designed as nourishing bases that can be customized to your needs. Many customers add chicken, bone broth, pork, turkey, eggs, tofu, or vegetables to create a more complete meal.
9. What is congee?
Congee is a traditional rice porridge enjoyed throughout many Asian cultures for centuries. It is often eaten for comfort, recovery, digestion, postpartum nourishment, and everyday wellness. Think of it as the Asian equivalent of oatmeal, but made from rice instead of oats.
10. Are your products intended to treat medical conditions?
No. Our products are food products and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. We always recommend speaking with your healthcare provider regarding specific medical concerns.
11. Do your products contain preservatives?
No artificial preservatives are used in our pantry products. Proper storage instructions should always be followed after opening.
12. Where are your products made?
All products are made in small batches in Southern California by our team at FAMMá.
13. Can I send FAMMá as a gift?
Yes! Many customers send our products as gifts for postpartum recovery, healing support, birthdays, or simply to nourish loved ones. You can also leave a gift note at checkout.
14. Why did FAMMá transition away from frozen meals?
We saw too much waste from insulated shipping materials and dry ice. We were also unable to control the rising costs associated with frozen shipping. Because of this, we wanted to create more affordable and accessible pantry staples that still reflect our Food As Medicine philosophy while being easier to ship, store, and enjoy daily. Our congee and soup kits are also incredibly easy to make at home and cost customers about a third of the price compared to shipped frozen meals. It became a win-win, allowing customers to have nourishing foods ready in their pantry whenever recovery, comfort, or deeper nourishment is needed.
